I am trying to find out when my Grandfathers sister arrived in Canada.
Her name is Elizabeth Robertson Paterson (b 19 may 1897) she Married the local police constable William Hamilton (b 13 jan 1896) in 1918. It has been said that she went to canada shortly after she got married. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I had a quick look on findmypast and only found one match for a William and Elizabeth Hamilton travelling together - they travelled on the Athenia from Glasgow to Montreal, departing on 4 Oct 1929. William was aged 31yrs, occupation Steward, Elizabeth also 31 and baby Betty aged 4yrs. Their last address was 1 The Grange, Stevenston?? Attached a snippet as it is a bit hard to make out and I'm not good with Scottish geography.
Were they from Scotland? Did they travel together? Do you know if they had any children?

Did you mean Margaret Robertson Paterson and not Elizabeth? I found passenger list entries which match the information you provided about William but his wife's name is listed as Margaret on the passenger lists. There is a marriage registration at ScotlandsPeople for a William Hamilton marrying Margaret Robertson Paterson in 1918 in Shotts, Lanark.
Here is the passenger list entry for William Hamilton arriving in Quebec aboard the Montclare on 6 Jun 1926 as follows:
William Hamilton, 30, born Wishew, occupation police constable, destination Police Headquarters, Toronto. In the column asking for the name and address of nearest relative in the country from which he came, he listed wife, Margaret Hamilton, 20 Victoria Street, Harthill, Scotland.
Here is the passenger list entry for Margaret with four children arriving in Montreal on 23 Apr 1927 aboard the Melita:
Mrs. Margaret Hamilton, wife, 30, born Harthill, Scotland, going to husband, Mr. Wm. Hamilton, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. In the column asking for the name and address of nearest relative in the country from which she came, Margaret listed mother, Mrs. J. Paterson, Victoria Street, Harthill.
Since there is a possibility that the children listed could still be alive I won't post the details about them.
If you would like copies of the passenger lists, please PM me your email address and I will send them to you.
Jacquie
Edited to add: I've received a PM from sicknote and he confirmed he meant Margaret, not Elizabeth.

Sandra, thank you. I know it was a long shot with Lemon Mille. If I am not mistaken you helped another member by the user name "Buffalo Bill" who was also looking for William HAMILTON b. 12-29-1918. William is my father. This was in July of this year (July 2020). Because of the recent date, Im hoping to get Bullalo Bill to respond. You provided him great info, thank you. Im new to Rootschat so still maneuvering the site. Not sure if theres another way to reach out to him. From what I read he may be a close relative of mine. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you Sandra.
