Hello: Looking up a great great grandmother. From an old letter her name was Ester Lee and was married to Samuel McCrudden. I think she would of been from Antrim and was born around 1840. Her daughter's name was Elizabeth McCrudden.

Hi FloppyDavis
Try the website: www.ancestryireland.com and look up on Elizabeth McCrudden as her baptism/birth record will show her mother's full name before the marriage if it is listed on it.
Alternatively, try looking up on her parents' marriage record via her father's name providing you know roughly when they were married.
Wish you every success and the best of luck in finding your ancestors!
Kind regards

Hi,
13 Jul 1867 Samuel McCrudden married Ester Lee in Randlestown 2nd Presbyterian Ch.
Children which I can find are James 20 Nov 1869
Mary Jane 3 Mar 1871
Sarah Anne 1873
There are probably others but that is as far forward as my source goes.

Hi
Foung another child on the IGI Esther Matilda born 18 Mar 1875.
Also noticed two McCruddens and four Lees on the Griffith's Valuation for the parish of Drummoul which is where Ranflestown Pres. Church is situated.

Five of the McCrudden children have already been found on this post from Sept.2007:

IGI lists (submitted entry) Esther Matilda's birthplace as Clonboy, Drummaul Parish which might be a good place to start searching.
Esther's marriage certificate should list her father's name and occupation and after checking that the next step would be to search for church records in the area (if they exist).
