can i have a look up for these two girls please died in the wreck of the harpooner 1816 , there father was Lt mylrea , but need to find out his first name, there mother also died but no first name for mother

this may help a litte there is articles and letters from paymaster who was aboard this ship and it says that lt mylrea survived along with his eldest daughter and son frederick in another letter it mentions that rose was age 17 adn sophia age 7 and that rose died in her fathers arms actually it says she drowned in his arms their mother is mentioned as a m. mylrea so we need to find out what m stood for

there is said to be a will for mary ann mylrea not married Leghorn (Livorno) Tuscany for spinster Mary Ann Mylrea in 1837d but this lady said it was £3 50 , do you know why that would be can it be viewed on line thanks

I found some references to the Harpooner and the daughter who survived was named Mary. I've also found a couple of references that Lt. Mylrea was 70 when the Harpooner went down.

One account found online: The hired transport Harpooner, was lost near Newfoundland, in November, 1818; she had on board three hundred and eighty five men, women, and children, including the ship's company. The passengers consisted of detachments of several regiments, with their families, who were on their way to Quebec.
Lieutenant Mylrea, his eldest daughter, about 18 years, and one son, Frederick, about 13 years of age; saved. Mrs. Mylrea, Miss Rose, about 17, and Sophia, about 7 years of age; lost.

On Google Books there's a Notes and Queries entry which seems to list those who died on the Harpooner. I can only get snippets but it looks like "Mary Mylea & 2ch" are listed.
You could look at the regimental birth indexes to see if his children are listed there.
