Title: E Chamberlain

I am trying to gather info on an Ernest Frederick Chamberlain b 1905 Bath.  Any ideas on how to search for his occupation, place of birth and death etc... marriage would be gratefully received.

Nearest birth registration I can find on FreeBMD is this:

Ernest Frederick Chamberlain  JunQ  1903  Marylebone 1a  557

None in Bath 1905.  :-\

Thanks for your quick reply.  I've had a look today on the new 1911 census.  If you type Chamberlain, Bath he should be there.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

The 1911 census is just showing that he is living in Bath then; not necessarily born there.

The easiest thing to do would be to buy some credits for the 1911 census and have a look at the original entry.  That will tell you where he was living, who he was living with and where he was born.

Hi,

I think this might be him,

Ernest Frederick CHAMBELAIN    JAS Q 1905    Bath    5c  484


Looking at the typed image of the index page it looks like a typist error has been made, row 1 ends with CHAMBERLAIN Agnes and Alfred but row 2 starts with CHAMBELAIN Alfred,it looks like someone just missed the R out and everyone listed under it is CHAMBELAIN not CHAMBERLAIN ::)
