Best regards on your researches into your ancestry. I had the privilege of being raised from the age of one to five in Cousin's Buildings and have to say that it was the happiest time of my life, bar none. I well remember careering down the hilly road at the top end of Greenfield Street on a makeshift sledge and tumbling off at the bottom. Simple pleasures and happy days. All the very best to you.

In reference to your search for your ancestors, there was a Fergus Dodds who was alive in Kincardine-on-Forth to my knowledge in the 60's, who was a great union man. I think he was a shop steward in the electrical union. He had a stunningly beautiful daughter, Elizabeth. Best regards.

Hi,

I don't have much info on the history of the Taylor's in Scotland but I am the great grandson of James Dodds Taylor born dec 21 1910, alloa, died jan 23 1960, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

My sister has done a little research but things are hard to track down and some of the Scottish side of things might not be accurate. https://freepages.rootsweb.com/~htfiles/genealogy/TAYLOR.html

My Dad was Robert James Taylor, called Bobby. Born in Toronto 1939. My Grandma Francis Horrell and James had 2 boys and a girl, my Dad, Uncle and Aunt. Only my Uncle Bruce Taylor is still alive.

I guess we're both looking to learn more :)

Cheers,

Craig Robert Taylor
