Helen Buchanan Galetly McNair Addison
born 15th March, 1908 12 Napier St, Linwood
F Ralph Addison, Iron Moulder
M Agnes Addison ms Herbertson
Parents married 21 September 1904 Elderslie
sister: Jeanie Ross McNair Addison born 19 May 1906
61 Clippens Square, Linwood
Parents as above
marriage Jean Addison 1st June 1928 age 21 at Potterhill, Paisley (parents as above) to Dugald Clark age 20
Witness Mary Addison 3 Upper Gray St Edinburgh
marriage Mary Ann Addison age 21 at Lochend Church Edinburgh
(parents as above) to Richard Robertson age 22
Witness Ralph Addison c/o Wilson 206 Leith Walk, Leith
Ralph is more than probably the brother but you can only search andsee the images on line for births up to 1908 a general search shows 2 Ralph Addisons Linwood Birth 1909 and 1 death 1990 Ralph Addison age 80 Leith (too recent to .)
Possibly more siblings but that is the only details I have
Their mother Agnes Herbertson died in 1920 and had remarried to a Thomas Little. There is a death for Ralph Addison 1917 age 33
but is in the Minor Records for Service and War Returns so I cannot
confirm that it is definately their fathers' death.
All the above information from Scotlands People.

The town in brackets is the residence of his next of kin.
You can view his medal card here http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/details-result.asp?Edoc_Id=1306354&queryType=1&resultcount=3 for £2, or if you have an ancestry subscription I think you can download them on there.
Also it might be worth keeping an eye on this site
http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/index.php?mforum=scottishwargraves
If he is mentioned on a family gravestone the picture will be put on the site (even though he is buried abroad). Unfortunately none of the cemeteries in the area have been covered yet.

Hi Domnonii,
Hi thanks for your interest. I had seen the entry in the wargraves commission but couldn't confirm it was the correct entry.
I didn't now about the Scottish National War Memorial so will keep that in mind.
Thanks for the confirmation on Ralphs death.
