i'm curious about this photo, i dont know anything about it, it has nothing written on the back of it, it could have originated in northern ireland (although that is speculation).
If anyone could suggest a date based on the clothes and hair styles that would be a good start.

Just a guess, going by the lady's hair, and her shoes, perhaps the middle 1920's. :)

I would put it mid 30s + as per mums dress

I would say the 1920s or early 1930s myself as well. Looking at the clothes and the condition of the actual photo.

Just for curiosity I went looking on he internet for information re fashions for that period.
My previous opinion was formed from a photograph I have, that I know was taking in 1926. Of course people respond to fashion in different ways, some are on the cutting edge, some area few years behind. :)
But in case anyone is interested, here are a couple of links re hair styles and fashion, that emerged after the first World War.
