:)hi this is the only photo of my father in his early twentys he is now 89 can anydody please help to make it better as i am 50 yrs old and i am not computer literate i can only perform basics the whole family would e eternally gratefull thanks, cathlene.

Was wondering if you knew what Mc Cusker your James was married to my husbands grandmother was a Mary Jane Mc Cusker (Roe) she born about 1916 but they may know who you are looking for get in contact if this helps.

For what it's worth I think it's a shoulder strap for a bag/rucksack and not a parcel under his arm. ::)

yes i agree,the pic you have made so lovely for me is,infact my uncle,my sister used my rootschat site,to ask if anyone could fix the pic of our dad,as its the only one we have got,but she couldnt upload it,and forgot all about it.so if i can upload a pic of our dad,could you and would you try and do something with it please,i was thrilled when i saw the pic of my uncle its fantastic. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Cathlene...do you have the original of your dad's photo? If you do, could you please rescan it at a higher resolution, 300-600 dpi (the higher the better) and in colour, even if it's a b&w photo...the restorers are going to need all the help they can get if anybody's going to tackle it :)
If the file is over 500kb, you will have to reduce the size a bit. Do not compress. Reduce, save, see how big it is now, and repeat until it's under 500kb.
And as mentioned, please start a new thread...some people don't revisit old threads.
