Can someone please lookup a birth for John Hattin 1823 Weston Subedge, Gloucestershire.

Alas there's no John Hattin (or soundex thereof) in the GFfHS GLS baptism index nor does the IGI help.

hes at the same place with same wife up to 1871

Seems to be a marriage 1845 June qu Banbury (which is registration district for where he lived in Oxon) Ruth Warmington v 16 p 32
The marriage cert would give fathers name it might help track down the birth record.

Isobel is correct when she says that John Hattin was in Hook Norton In the Censuses from 1851 to 1881.
I will probably have to send for the marriage certificate as Isobel has suggested .

Just seen your post re John Hattin (1822ish weston subedge). He is in my tree too. I have him in census 1851 - 1881, but know nothing of him prior to that - have you had any luck?
He is listed in the 1876 Harrod trade directory at Hook Norton (carpenter). I could not see him later than 1881 (possible death Strand London 1883, but that is away from Hook Norton)

Just also spotted on ancestry Family trees there is a "Gray family tree" containing:
John Hattin born 1823 Weston Subedge. (another person in this tree is Elizabeth Warmington born 1816 Hook Norton who is also part of our tree, so it looks like a definite link.)
Unfortunately this is not a public access tree and I do not have ancestry membership to make connection with the author of the tree - anyone else a member prepared to "make the connection?"

Thank you for your response to my request, John Hattin is my Wife's Greatgrandfather.
I have seen the tree you refer to on ancestry but the person owning the tree doesn't want to be contacted but thank you any way.
I have still not got any further back than John Hattin, I am still contemplating sending for a marriage certificate, to see what that tells me.

Looks like we have a common ancestor - John Hattin is my husband's gt gt gt grandfather (down through his daughter Patience Hattin married to Charles Beynon). Which of John's children provides your line, and do you know much about John's wife Ruth Warmington.
The same ancestry tree that has John Hattin in it has Ruth Warmington's sister Elizabeth (b 1816 married Samuel Mayo French).

Hello All,
An update on progress with my original Lookup request.
I have aquired a Marriage certificate for John Hattin and Ruth Warmington.
They were Married on Fifth June 1845 at Hook Norton Baptist Chapel.
John Hattin is a Carpenter and his Father is Thomas Hattin a Farrier.
Ruth Warmington's Father is Samuel Warmington a Farmer.
In the 1851 Census there is a Thomas Hattin (Farrier) living in Hook Norton birth about 1798 born Whatcott (probably Whatcote) Warwickshire.
I still cannot find a Baptism for John Hattin born 1823 Weston Subedge.
