Hi There
Am trying to track down Annie Harroway BLIZARD
She was born in Chelsea, England and her birth is registered in Mar 1867 qtr
I have found a marriage of a Annie F BLIZARD to Hugh McCAFFERY on 15 Nov 1899 in the Flint Genealogical Soc, Genessee County.
I have found a death for Mrs Annie McCaffery in Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon, Shiawassee County. It tells me she was born 24 Nov 1866 and died 11 Jun 1912
I think both of these counties are in Michigan but my american geography is nearly non existant so if i'm wrong please correct me.
This is all the information i have. I know nothing about when Hugh was born or died - he's not in the same cemetery as his wife.
Would love to know if they had any children or if they appear in the census 1900 / 1901 (not sure which year it was)
Annie also had a brother Arthur James BLIZARD who lived in Michigan. I have found his death index in Oct 1965 but that's about all
Any info would be greatly appreciated

The marriage record for Hugh & Annie is here: http://labs.familysearch.org/ It says Annie's parents were John Blizard and Caroline Hanoway (looks like it could be Harroway), so that seems to match. Hugh was age 34 and born in California.
The 1900 Census is available on that site too, but I haven't found them yet. The brother Arthur's marriage record seems to be there, and it looks like he's in Fenton, Michigan in 1900.
1910 Census, Vernon, Shiawassee Co., Michigan
McCaffery, Hugh, male, white, age 45, married once for 10 years, born California, parents born Ireland, laborer for railroad yard
wife Annie T., female, white, age 43, married once for 10 years, born England, parents born England, no occupation
adopted daughter Bernetta M., female, white, age 14, single, born Michigan, parents born Canada, no occupation, attending school
In the 1920 Census, Hugh is still in Vernon, still a laborer, listed as widowed, and living with a housekeeper. His daughter is not with him. In 1930, he is in Durand, Shiawassee Co., Michigan, still widowed, still with the same servant, and working as a painter.

1900 Census: Michigan, Genesee, Argentine Township
18 June 1900
McCaffery, Hugh, b. March 1864, 36, married 6 months, b.
California, parents b. Ireland, farmer, can read,
write, spks English, owns farm, mortgaged
Annie T, wife, b. Nov 1866, 33, married 6 months,
b. Engalnd, parents b. England, immigrated
1892, 8 yrs in US, can read, write, spks English
I found them using Heritage Quest and they were transcribed correctly, although the image was pretty poor. I then looked for them in the familysearch.org website that Shelly mentioned and couldn't find them. I went back and looked at the Heritage Quest image and then found them through the "browse the unindexed images" on the familysearch site. I found them in Argentine Twp, page 197 A, which is image 17 of 20, on line 6 and 7. The image is quite clear and it appears that the name is transcribed as "McCaffrey", but I can't find it in the index.

There is a listing on the obituary index for Hugh McCaffrey from 21 Sep. 1936 here - http://www.sdl.lib.mi.us/obitindex/index.php It looks like they will send the obituary by e-mail for free.
