Title: Owen Ellis in Llanrwst

Hi

Can anyone look up the birth of Owen Ellis for me please in Llanrwst parish records.
I think he was born about 1830 and could have married Ellen Jones about 1853 in Liverpool.
Ive checked the 1841 census but he is not living with his parents so at the mo i am stuck.

Hi Cookie,

I have checked the nonconformist records that I have but have not found him there. The transcribed church records end at 1812, so they do not help.  When you say Llanrwst, do you mean the actual town or one of the several villages which are classed as Llanrwst? What were the names of his parents please as this might make it easier to at least eliminate a Owen Ellis? I'm sorry to be so negative but I will keep looking for you. It would be easier to have just a little more information if you have it.

I know its not much to go on but you never know.

I think Owen may have been a tailor.

I have no info on his parents or siblings either.

July 17 1829. Owen Ellis. s/o Owen & Margaret. Abode, Llanrwst. Fathers Occ, Tailor.
Siblings.
May 13 1821. Margaret.
Feb 13 1924. Jane.
Oct 8 1825. Sarah.
April 22 1827. Henry.

Couldn't see a marriage for Owen & Margaret in Llanrwst :(

Hello Cookie

There is a marriage in the OND quarter of 1854 in Llanrwst with both Owen Ellis
and Ellin Jones ( note spelling ) on the same page.
There is a death for Owen Ellis in March 1888 at West Derby Lancashire.
Have you been able to find him on all the census ??

Yes i have got the cert for 1854 marriage but that owen was married to mary owen and not elin jones.

There is an owen ellis with a marriage in 1853 sept 1/4 in liverpool which could be him but theyve got an incomplete page number so im not sure. I know that he was in the west derby area as from the 1861 census.
