Title: Multiple generations in photos
Post by: stoney on Monday 22 December 08 14:55 GMT (UK)
After a weekend of "rellie-bashing" (that's over for another Christmas, then!) I came across some photos of hubby with his Dad, Grandad and G-Grandad.

Having been lovingly restored by the "experts" at Rootschat I've attached one with this post - "four-in-a-row!"

Does anyone else have multiple generations in a single photo?

I've got a recent one of 4 generations but three of the people are living, so won't put it up - My Mum, my sister, my niece and my great nephew  :)

Nothing more than three in any of the older ones though - and again, some are still alive.

I have a  photo of 5 generations. All of whom are living so I shall not put it on display.

Look to your left :)

Great Uncle Frank, Great-Grandfather Charles, GG Grandfather Samuel, & GGG Grandfather Walter.  This photo would have been taken around 1911, as the baby (GU-Frank) is about a year old.

I have 4 generations on my OHs side and 3 on mine.

I love old photos, they make people you don't know more real and I love looking to see if there is any family resemblence.

This was really tiny neg,so the quality is poor.
There is me, My Dad Albert, My Grandad Sydney and my G.Grandad Fred.
It does not look much, but means the World to me.

I have a lovely photo with 4 generations in but I'm not sure who they are!

I know one is the wife of my gt-granma's oldest brother, and one is her daughter - I presume the oldest woman in the photo is her mother, and the baby is the grand-daughter.

I'm waiting for the 1911 census so I can put a name to the baby :)

check the 1911census website. I've heard it may be released as early as next week.
