Hi James,
Welcome to Rootschat. You need to have at least 3 posts before you can PM a person. So if you reply to this post with a smilie, then maybe reply again, you will be able to send a message.
You will see a scroll (where the green light is on) just click on that to send a message,
Cheers

Welcome to Rootschat Mr Grinch :D ... James :)
PM's will be restricted until you make another post or 2 ... a necessary modification to help reduce spam messages
If you reply to me here you may get away with 2 posts ;)

Hi
As a new member to this site, am I able to leave a reply on the site asking someone to PM me, or does the minimum of 3 post apply to this as well?
Regards

Hi Jo
Welcome to RootsChat. I saw your post and I am not quite sure but is there someone in particular you want to PM you?

Hi Evie
Thanks for getting back so quickly.
There are a couple of members that I would like to contact. One is a member who appears to have many of the same ancestors as my own, but there’s no hurry for this. However, I did see a message from a member asking for information about Abraham Archibald and Marjory Robertson, and as they are also in my family tree, I think that I might have some information that can help. This would include photocopies that I have, so it would be useful to contact the member directly.
Thanks again.

Hi Jo
I see well if you reply once more to this post you should be able to contact them or even jump in on the thread you saw and say that you have some info that may be able to help them and you then have your three posts. Good Luck.

Hi Evie
You really have been so helpful.
I have been reading this site for some time, but only now decided that I really should become more involved.
Thanks again!

You are very welcome Jo. :)
Hope you can see the little green scroll.
Don 't forget anything you are stuck with just post your requests and someone will help you. It's amazing how a brick wall one has been struggling with for months or years is broken down in minutes on this site.
