Title: 1732 BIRTH for WILLIAM or OBEDIAH SIMPSON

Would like to find a birth place for a William or Obediah Simpson. Birth year around 1732 or before. I don't have much info on him. He left Scotland before 1755.  Don't know if he married before heading to the U.S. Had two sons that we know of, William b. near Wilmington, North Carolina - d. 1815 in Brighton, Ontario, Canada, and Obediah b. 1758 near Wilmington, North Carolina - d. 1809 in Brighton, Ontario, Canada. And would like to find the name of the ship he came over on.

I am also a descendant of this William or Obediah Simpson and was wondering if you had gotten any new information on him either in Scotland or in North Carolina?

I might have a birthplace for his son William ( this William is my 4th great grandfather) born 1750 Brunswick, North Carolina. He married Rebecca Mott 1779 Hempstead, New York.  Still having a hard time finding stuff about Williams parents.
