Title: Help with FTM 2008

Hi,
have been doing my step mums tree and i need to seperate her parents famililes. Can anyone tell me how to do this.

Usually you can run an Outline Descendancy report which will extract a branch of the family wgich can be saved as a GEDCOM file.

Go to the top of the branch in Family View.
Click on Reports and select Outline Dependant.
When the report has been run select File >> Export File >> Copy/Export Individuals in Outline Descendant Tree.

This will create a separate family file with just the specific individuals in your mother's branch.
