Clare: I happen to have those reigsters at the local library and had an image of that page: Page 80 item #238 It states her name as Susanna Elizabeth Barrows daughter of Richard and Margaret Anne Palmer baptized 3 Sept 1826. I know you had put down Burrows as the last forename but it does look like Barrows though the writing is not very good.
Hope this helps

Hi
Thanks for this comfirmation.
I think the name is Burrows, as this is the maiden name I have for her maternal grandmother. But it may be this that is wrong and it may be Barrows.
I have her mother as Margaret Fagg, born circa 1793 in Hougham. Parents as Father Stephen Fagg born circa 1754 in Hougham. Mother Elizabeth Burrows born circa 1758 in Kent? The marriage took place 03/01/1779.
So I am not sure which one is right?
Susannah didn't put either spelling on her marriage certificate to Richard Constable. Not sure if she did on her marriage to Thomas Royle, as I have never seen that.
Kind regards
Clare

Clare: I had another look at the Hougham Registers and found a baptims for Margaret Anne Fagg 23 October 1891 daughter of Stephen and Susanna. I can add this info on the marriage of her parents. Stephen Fagg of the parish of Eisel, bachelor and Susannah Barrowes, of this parish, spinster by Thomas Tournay, vicar on the 3rd day of April 1779. Witnesses Matthew Fagg his mark and Richard Belsey (he is the parish clerk) the bride and groom made their marks. I find a baptism for Susannah Barrows as follows 16 Feb 1852 daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth Barrows (Note no marriage in Hougham for them but their is a marriage at St. James the Apostle, Dover, Kent for the couple that you can easily find on familysearch.org. From what I found it would appear the name is acually Barrows. There are other children from this marriage in Hougham and Dover is not very far from Hougham.
Hope this will fill in some blanks for you. Now my library closes tomorrow so will not be able to view it until the new year.

Hi Again
After going on family search I had to make one more comment.
It has Matthew and Elizabeth marriage in 1745, and there is also a possible marriage for Matthews father.
Matthew Barrows to Eliza PALMER 20 OCT 1706.
Always more questions than answers.
Merry Christmas to every one.
