One of my relatives Thomas Roberts married Mary Henderson (from Muiravonside) in Torphichen in 1838. I have a copy from SP of the cost paid to the Church of having their Banns read .
I have found details of a Thomas and (I think) Mary Roberts in Linlithgow in 1841. Can anyone help in deciphering the details - especially the 2 year old daughter?
And if anyone can provide any other details, I'd be chuffed!
Thanks in advance,
Stuart
Editted because I found some more information!

Thomas was born around 1818 (can't find the birth yet) to Peter Robert and Janet Beveridge. Peter was born in 1764 in Torphichen to William Robert and - I think - Anna Symond.
Can anyone decipher this better than me?

I think that it reads:
August 5th William Robert and Anna Symond in Cranhill **** had a child baptized called Peter
Stuart
(Or might the wife's name be Anne Binnie?)

Hi Stuart, hope you are still looking at your requests. Only just found this so a bit late in replying. Thomas Roberts & Mary Henderson are my Gt. Gt. grandparents. Their daughter Janet (aged 8yrs on 1851 census) was my GT. grandmother on my paternal line. Would love to be in touch with you.

Anne,
Thanks for that. I had copied 'Binnie' - from somewhere I forget!
Stuart
PS Fancy meeting you here! Thanks for the Scotsman stuff.

Hilary,
Thanks. I have downloaded the 1851 census - with Janet aged 8!
I think that you are my first relative on rootschat!
I've sent you a PM.

I've had another look on SP; Bining doesn't produce much - Binnie does. But it is late...
Any thoughts?
Stuart
