Title: campton Parish Records - STANBRIDGE
Post by: Ivybridge on Wednesday 03 December 08 13:51 GMT (UK)
Henry Stanbridge, who was a publican in Shefford and father of Amy and William stanbridge, died in 1837. I would like to know when he was buried please. [and anything else  you can turn up!]

Thank you

David

The Henry that I was interested in was a tenant at the Brewery Tap Public House: 14 North Bridge Street, Shefford between 1822 and 1837. He wrote his will in 1837 and died shortly afterwards. I had hoped that was buried in Campton. However, could be anywhere.

Thank you,

David

There's a death in the Sept quarter 1837 in Biggleswade registration district, which includes Shefford, which presumably is the one you're looking for.

Panic over!

For some reason the NBI does not pick up Stonbridge as a variation of Stonebridge!

6 July 1837 age 50 at Campton
