I am researching the Skinner family who were possibly boat people around Wolverhampton in the mid 1800s. I have a Sophia Skinner who married a Thomas Musson. Can anyone shed any light for me, please
Cheers

Hello Carol
Thank you for such a quick reply.
this is the information I have which has been gleaned from a birth certificate and a marriage certificate of this couple's child who was my great, great grandmother
Ellen Musson b. Nov. 2nd 1848 at Horsely Fields, Wolverhampton
Mother = Sophia Musson nee Skinner; Father = Thomas Skinner, a boatman.
Ellen Musson marries George Seymour May 10 1871 from Bilston Street , Wolverhampton. I have had no problems finding info about Ellen after this date as she appears to become more settled. Before her marriage I assume she was travelling along the canals ........... ?
I haven't been able to find anything about Thomas and Sophia in any census, nor have I been able to find if Ellen had any siblings.
Thanks for your offer
Margaret
