Hi
Does anyone have access to the 1891 census of Warfield, Berks and could look for George Searle b c1830 and his family please.
I would be very grateful for any help.
Best regards

Hi Gloria
what was the name of the other child , as I had a look on the 1901, and its still has just the Edward as the son,

Hi Ricky
That's what I didn't know. I was hoping that there would just be someone else there.
I have always thought that Edward was the only son [apart from a much older half-brother] but another family member has come across an old letter that refers to Edward's brother so we thought that there could have been another son.
Never mind, thanks for your help

Hi Ricky
Yes, Samuel was George's son from his 1st marriage and Minnie was Sarah's illegitimate daughter, Minnie was my greatgrandmother.
After George and Sarah married they went on to have Edward. I have always been under the impression that he was the only son but a descendent of his has contacted me to say that she has a letter from Sarah to Edward which refers to Edward's brother. This is why I was checking to see if I had missed someone. I now presume she must have meant Samuel.
Thanks for your help
Gloria
