I would be grateful if someone can save me a trip to Canterbury
I need to know the name if recorded of the parent(s) of the bride & any witnesses in the following marriages which took place in St Mary the Virgin Dover
(1) Catherine Marsh who married Richard McCartney 20th October 1810
(2) Mary Ann Marsh who married Richard Brice 6th March 1815
(3) Ann Marsh who married Robert Hatch 23rd January 1820
These three girls were hopefully the sisters of Thomas Curling Marsh (1789 to 1872) so he may be a witness to some of these marriages
Thanks
Gerry

Dorking123: I am afraid the witnesses will not tell you much
Marriage 1: Witnesses (3) John Bushell, Margaret Munsk (hard to make out surname) & Ann Marsh
Marriage 2: Witnesses (2) William West & Ann Deall (her mark)
Marriage 3: Witnesses (2) ? Harch & J. Rye on the Rye surname the forename woucl well be th short form of John and on the Hatch surname its difficult to see just what the initial really is ink is smeared.
Hope this helps All marriages St. Mary's, Dover

Hello!
On a slightly related subject - I have a James Curling Marsh b 1817 in Dover in a family tree which i'm working on with a friend.
Could he possibly be related to your Curling Marshes??
Would be very greatful if you could get in touch.
Best wishes,
Joanna
