Hi, Thanks. Most of that side of the family originates from the Fenton/Longton area. However I don't know a great deal about that side of the family at this stage- lots of research to be done ;).

Hi Ellie,
I have lived in Stoke, now in Newcastle...and Zen, I've worked in the Pots but don't think I am a True Potter......just an 'imigrant' from Coventry.....got my passport to here in 1975 so perhaps on the way!!!!! but happily married to a true Stokie!

Ellie...  I notice you have Birks and Burgess.....my wife has connections with them in the Longton area together with Jervis, Holmes and Downs.....perhaps one day we will all meet up!

Bill

So far I have traced my Potter ancestors back to 1734. More or less in the same area, apart from a stint at Herculanium in Liverpool.

Hi Ellie, I would be interested to know if your Birks ancestors are related to Benjamin Birks Tittensor, born 1864 died 1909, the son of Eli and Elizabeth Tittensor.

Just looking briefly I found Noon children born in the 1960's in Stoke-on-Trent who will be  your relatives. However the awkward thing is we are not allowed to mention living people on this Site.

In general I'm sure you will get used to how the Site works.
