Looking for census details on my Maternal grandmother, location on census, like name of mother, age and dob and place of birth, also any siblings, there should be at least one - Arthur Waldock Cox
Her father was Alfred John and they should be living in London, the Paddington/Hammersmith area.

Yes that's the one I got Pam which ruled out the marriage in 1871 apart from the obvious one of age.
I have been browsing through BMD for marriages of a 'Cox' to a 'Jane' someone or other born in Cambridgeshire but no luck so far. Came up with a Jane Clark but the age was out by a couple of years.

Hi!! I'm looking into Gertrude Emma's history at the moment! I believe she married John Thomas Penny in 1921. John Thomas Penny was my partner's Great Grandfather. I understand that this was her second marriage. I would be very interested in anything you can share! Hope to hear from you! Mickie

They married in July 1921 not sure of the date though.
What information are you looking for?

Well I wondered whether you could tell me anything about him!?
His children from his relationship with Emma Neighbour (don't think they married) reputedly said he abandoned them when they were very young!! He just 'vanished' and never contacted them again!!
I'm sure there must have been more to it than that!!
His history has proved to be a bit of a mystery in my search to date!!
Don't even know what he looked like!?

I don't know much about him myself, I met him on a couple of occasions, she was my maternal grandmother. She left her husband as she was living in a violent relationship. That's about all I know, he was a fairly small chap and I would have still been at school when I had contact with him and that was more years ago than I would care to admit, certainly pre 1955. He struck me as being a very jolly chap and I can still see him to this day. She was much like my mother (her daughter from her first marriage) well built, not really over weight but chubby. They lived in Bromley, Kent and we used to travel there by bus from Watford so it would have been at least 1949 before I first met him and my grandmother. I do have photo of her she came to our wedding in 1964' if you can pm me your e-mail address I will see if I can find it and send it through'

What is the VOSS connection too? Any ideas??
-
I have no idea, seems to have happened when they moved from Dorset to London. Voss of course is a German name and that might have had something to do with also the Boer Wars were fought during 1880–1881 and 1899–1902 and I understand that there are links to the Voss family in South Africa.
