Hi, i was wondering if anyone has come across a Family by the name of McCann in Taghmon Wexford.
-
Hello,
My great grandfather was Thomas McCann, his wife Margaret. They had three children i believe, their son being John James McCann b. 1908. He was my grandfather. He married in Ireland to a Mary i believe and had three children, the eldest, a son John Thomas McCann and two daughters. He moved over to Staffordshire in the 1950s and set up home with my grandmother and they had 10 children, but never married. He died in Stafford in 1995.
I notice you are from Staffordshire, so possibly closer related??
I have some more research if you would like me to share it, if we have the same person. My email address is (*)
Hope to hear from you :)
Emma

re McCann family from Taghmon CoWexford - post by Emma in 2008
Are you still searching for information - I think we are related because John James McCann was my dad's half brother.
It's 5 years since your post - hope someone knows how to contact Emma

Welcome to RootsChat.
I am sorry but we have been unable to notify Emma of your new reply as the email she registered with is no longer working :'(

Thanks for your help Sarah - I really appreciate it. It's disappointing but I guess that with the time lapse since the original post, it was a shot in the dark.
Kind regards,
Margaret

Hi Margaret,
It is always worth a try, many of us still use the same email address. (I do)
Emma had so few postings and no name in her email address so made searching for her impossible....
All the Best
Sarah
