would any body know of a Stanley Frank Cranfield. He lived in Guildford Surrey I think for most of his life and he died in 1998 just 59 years old. He was my brother who I found that I had just last year when doing my family research. He was born to a Charles William Cranfield and Violet Gladys May Cranfield nee Bentley at 13, Worcester Road Guildford Surrey.
He never married but I do have a photo of him with a young couple and their son taken in a garden he looked about 50 years old.He was adopted in 1942 when our mother died and was taken up north. He did not like it up there and came back to Surrey soon after. Any info would be great. I have sent for his death cert for any more possible info on him

Hi
Just a thought, have you tried the local paper for the area to see if there was a death notice placed for him, it may list some family members, also the local undertaker may be able to help, Maybe they could pass your details on to the family if there is one.
Good luck with this, I wish you well

Anne, his name is on Genes Reunited with the exact address you have given as his place of birth. Do you have membership? Have you been in touch with the owner of the tree? I could send a question for you.

As well as the Valerie who has the exact address, there's also a Malcolm who has a Stanley Cranfield, Surrey, 1938.
Anne, do you know of any cousins with these names ?

Hello Jane,Rhoobarb and Nick
Thanks for your reply to my notice re Brother. Yes I have put a notice in the Genes Reunited site as they found my family last October as until then I did not know that I had any family at all. Spent the last 66 years thinking I was an only child. I have met my other brother and sisters and hoping to get information about Stanley. Have sent for his death cert and I will write to the Surrey Advertiser as they have a ' trying to find column '. :D
Thanks once again for your interest
Regards
