Hi Hol
Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.
Have you made any progress, or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes

Hello
I have still had no luck with regards to a marriage certificate.
However I have found William Atack(spelt Attack on the 1841 census!) in Norton where he was born working as an Ag Lab which he did all his life.
Mary Ann Hinsley I also found on the 1841 census living in Balne and living with a Priscilla?Hinsley aged 70 who was also an Ag Lab and James aged 40 a Hauler - the writing is very poor and I think this is what it says !
I will keep looking for a marriage certificate ,as I suspect the spelling will be different to how the name is spelt now
Regards
Diane ;)

After so many years, I wonder if you have solved your problem -
Can I suggest the following as the possible marriage -
BMD Marriages 1847 Mar Qtr
Mary Ann Hinsley
Goole 23 220
William Hatwick
Have you managed to trace parents - Priscilla etc ?
Hope this is the one for you
best wishes IAN

Just realised that I should also suggest that Balne in not Doncaster but is in Pontefract District near Heck and Pollington.
As I am doing a lot on the Hinsley family, I would make this a strong suggestion.

Ref my last post,
Follow James and Priscilla Hinsley into 1851 Census,
you will see the District is Pontefract
