Hi
Fraid not finding any marriage for James and Roseann on Scotland's People. This could be for a number of reasons e.g. not established church of scotland being the usual one.

I have Mullen names in my family.
My GGrandfather John Reynolds married Mary Ann Mullen in the Calton Glasgow 28th Nov. 1856.
John was a coal miner working in Shotts Lanarkshire, Mary Ann was living in Calton Glasgow. Mary Ann was born in Ireland, father Myles Mullen, mother Ann Donnelly.
The Irish usually came first to Paisley, Renfrewshire to work in the coal mines and later moved into the center of Glasgow, mainly around Bridgeton, Calton & the Gallowgate. Many went further east to the Lanarkshire & Stirlingshire coal fields.

Hi Moss
Your family sound just like mine. Came from Ireland , settled in Paisley and then went to Glasgow and Lanarkshire - especially my dad's side who were all miners
I'm from Paisley myself originally but live in Sheffield now.

I also have an Isabella McNaught b 1789 in this area. She married William White. Her father was Malcolm. If you come across these as you go back let me know.
