Hello,

If anyone could look up the birth details for me on a Jessie Hughes on any of these dates:
March q 1869
Dec q 1869
June q 1870,
Reg district is Marylebone.
The mother's name will be Emma or Antonia,not sure about the father .

Batch C053921 St Mary, St Marylebone
Jessie HUGHES born 28th October 1869 christened 27th March 1870
Parents: Richard HUGHES and Sarah

So that possibly discounts the Dec Qtr 1869 Jessie you listed.

Jessie K. Hughes is in Marylebone in 1871 with parents Vernon and Ellen.  There's also a Jessie who is with Richard and Sarah in Marylebone in 1871, presumably the same one Gaie found.

One of these Jessies died in Mar 1872 quarter, aged 2.  Possibly Jessie daughter of Richard and Sarah, as she is not with her widowed father in 1881 and I can't find her elsewhere.

Mar quarter 1869 Jessie Hughes is the leftover, then... can't find her on the census - do you think this might be your Jessie Pilarski?

Thank you so much for replies and help.
It was just a thought that Jessie Pilarski maybe "Hughes" going on the line that Antonia Pilarksi is the REAL mother and not Emma Pinfield Pilarski !.
I know that Antonia had a son Arthur Leopold Hughes born at 17 Foley Street Marylebone 1873,the informant is Antonia Hughes formerly Pilarski with the same address,the father being named as Arthur Alfred Hughes(photographer) can not find a marriage for Hughes/Pilarski.

17 Foley Street seems to have been the York Minster Public House by 1881!  In 1871 head of household is George Denton, licensed victualler.  There is a Hughes family at 22 Foley Street - Thomas Hughes, 41, wife Mary, 40, children George, 13, Emma, 8, Alfred, 5, Henry, 1.

Thanks for the info - In 1871 Antonia is living at 3 Saville Street Marylebone with Jessie,Emma and Grannie Rebeca.

Am defo getting the "run around" with this family !
