I'm looking for Aaron Simpson and Humphry Marshall in Heage or possibly Belper in Derbyshire.

Thank you, Sunflower.  That's my Humphry Marshall!  He was my 3rd great grandfather.

It's possible that both Aaron Simpsons are mine.  The Aaron Simpson I'm looking for may have been born in 1805, according to a record that I can't verify.  His father was also named Aaron Simpson, according to that same record.

Would you post both Aaron Simpson records?  Thanks very much!

The single Aaron Simpson could be mine.  I don't know why he would be living alone though.  Very strange.  I don't recognize the other family.

I'm very excited about the Humphry Marshall census record.  This ties together two other records that I haven't been able to verify before now.

Thanks very much.  I actually did find that record when Ancestry.com released the 1841 census, but I really appreciate you locating and transcribing it.

I've found a bit more on this family, if anybody needs it.  Elizabeth's maiden name was Needham and I think I've found her at the Strutt's girls school:

I also found mention of Humphry, Elizabeth, and their children in the Wirkswirth Parish Board of Guardians 1837-51:

Belper 1841 - "Heage --- Humphrey MARSHALL 48, wife 34 Mary 11, John 9, James 8, Martha 6, Joseph 3, Harriett 6m he is a coke burner wife has fever."
Belper 1841 - "Heage --- Humphrey MARSHALL 36 wife 32 five children John 9, died last week."

I haven't found Elizabeth's parents yet, though there is a 20 year old William Needham living two doors down from Humphry and Elizabeth in the 1841 census.  Maybe a relative.
