Title: What cemetaries are in Bramham?
Post by: simonsez on Wednesday 12 November 08 17:17 GMT (UK)
Hi,

I was wondering if someone could give me names of cemetaries that are located in bramham (internment.net doesnt list any) as i am trying to find a grave of the following person:

James WRAY was born about 1805 in Preston, Lancs.  He died in 1863.  Death registered Bramham 1Q 1863.  Surname sometimes Reay in earlier records.

Thanks

 ;)

Well seeing as it's quiet?
How about looking here: http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/WRY/Bramham/index.html
The above should give you some idea of the location, this being a rural area.
Try looking at Yorkshire Indexers, maybe asking the same question there?

Hello there I was born in Bramham and although I no longer live there I visit my Mother in law who still lives there.  The only graveyard in the village is that of All Saint's Church (C of E).
Next time I am there I will have a look around the churchyard for you, although if the grave marker was wood it may have been destroyed in a fire as this is what happened to the marker on the grave of my wife's grandmother.  She died in the 1920's.
I notice you are interested in Morris from Clifford, there was someone called Morris who lived on Tadcaster Road Bramham in the 1950's and 1960's who kept bees. As far as I can remember it was a father and Daughter.
