a few years back someone started up the KPNC which is a suburb in glasgow. They produced two booklets all about the families that lived in and around that area. I managed to obtain a copy of the 2nd one " walk down memory lane to soothside" and am hoping there is someone out there who would be able to sell me a s/h copy of the first booklet.." kinning park revisited". They were going to produce a 3rd booklet but before that could happen the website folded. Any information about where this could be obtained would also be appreciated.

There has been no update to the website since 2006/07 and as you suggest the society itself may have folded. However if you have a look at
http://web.archive.org/web/20061102152035/http://www.kinningpark.com/
The Internet archive has some of the original pages indexed which may give you some leads.

Thanks. Falkryn
Glad that I have come across your reply.
I am also interested in Kinning Park, as I believe that my grandfather, John Hamilton, and his parents, lived in this area around 1928/1929.

Hi all
I've just started researching my tree. I also have Kinning Park connections.
My paternal family (McArthur) are listed in marriages and also census entries for Kinnning Park.
My g grandfather Donald McArthur is listed as marrying Margaret McGillivray at Kinning Park on 1st June 1894. Also, on the 1901 census, I have him living at 50 Kinning Street.
If anyone can shed any further light on any of these leads I'd be most grateful.
Thank you
Morag Richardson (McArthur)

Hi there, I am also looking for this booklet, as far as i am aware it has pictures of the old Our Lady & St. Margaret's church amongst others I am looking for. I have heard on another forum, that there is a copy 'under the counter' at the Ibrox Library that you can view on request. I was also hoping to find out if I could buy a copy of it, or even both booklets mentioned. If anyone has any more information it would be much appreciated as the website mentioned is long defunct and unuseable.
Thankyou

I helped to start this Kinning Park book. I was the secretary at this club until it folded.
I Have the original book that you are looking for although it is a bit worse for wear. I have had this book for a long time and wouldn't like to part with it. However, if you are interested you could possibly photocopy it. If you are interested you may email me at *
Hope this helps.
