Hi,
I am getting closer to finding my lost uncle but wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction where to go next.
traced him to 1920 census, for Providence,Rhode Island,James I Hickman(mistakenly put Wickman) wife Mary,he is a caretaker aged 47 wife 50,need now to trace the marriage as he was single when Emigrated and if they had any children,is it possible to find a marriage for this area online.
thank-you for your time

James and Mary are also in the 1910 Census in Providence. It says they had been married for 8 years.
The Rhode Island marriages database on Ancestry has a marriage of Isaac J. Hickman and Mary A. Whitney on 26 Nov. 1902. Is James' middle name Isaac?

Brilliant,I knew it was him, name after my two great grandfathers,Isaac Parkes and James Hickman, although birth registration was Isaac James,he was allways called James and put his name down in reverse,
Thanks a lot one more to go out of 15 to end my eight year search for dads siblings.is it possible they had any children, hope I,m not takeing liberties.know how to search UK records but not USA.
thanks a million.

Mary is listed as having 0 children on the 1910 Census. Considering that she was 50 as of the 1920 Census, it doesn't look likely that they had any children. I didn't see any possible children in the Rhode Island Births database on Ancestry.
In the 1932 Providence city directory, it says that Jas I Hickman, husband of Mary A, died June 4, 1931.
