I would be grateful if anyone could look up my great great great great grandfather and his family in the 1841/1851/1861 census.
His name was John Henry Cushion and he was born in Bethnal Green in 1829. He lived in Bethnal Green most of his life so is likely to have been there in 1841/1851.
I would be interested to know who he was living with in 1841 (age approximately 12 years) as I know nothing about his parents or siblings.
I know he married c. 1850. His wife was Anne or Annie and she was born in 1828/9. I would be interested to know if John Henry was married to Anne by the time of the 1851 census and if they had any children. If not, I would be interested to know who John Henry was living with.
By 1861 John Henry and Anne Cushion had at least 2 children - William born c. 1852 and John born c. 1854 - were there any other children living with them in 1861?
Thanks for your help

Not in shoreditch in 51, sorry. KenB.

Thanks for looking - I thought he was more likely to be in Bethnal Green - but there were other family members in Shoreditch so it was worth a try!

Sorry I missed this in February as I was away on holiday.
They are not in 1851 Bethnal Green or Whitechapel.
There are 2 Cushion families in St George in the East surname only index
HO 107/1548 folios 529, 538
Looking at the birthplaces of the children I would expect them to be in Spitalfields. If you have a birth certificate for one of the children it would give an address.
If no-one looks up the actual census after a week ask again quoting reference numbers and name.

Hello
I'm doing a bit of housekeeping and wondering if this older request has been resolved in the meantime or you are still looking for the information? If the latter, do you have any further information to hand?
If I don't hear from you in a while I'll assume this is resolved and move it to the 'completed' section.
Regards :)
