I've found that others have passed on information from the Archives Office, but we haven't actually seen the records they got their information from. If anyone happens to be visiting the Archives Office, and would be prepared to scan/search for the information, I'd be beyond grateful. It does seem that there may be a lot of information, and will post names/dates when I have them all sorted.

just in case you haven't seen the website

Jenn,
I have seen the website, and that's where the numbers are coming from with references for everything else, but there's a letter in particular that I haven't found on the site, that I'm particularly after. I figure if I can find someone who may be visiting the Archives Office, maybe they could track it, and some other stuff down for me.
If no one can do it, then I'll contact the Archives Office and get them to do it instead.

Hi Victoria,
I live in Hobart and would be happy to visit the Archives Office for you.
Just let me know the info you want looked up and I will visit this week. No problem as I work in the City.
Cheers,
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,
There are still angels on this earth :)
Thankyou so much for your offer. I'll PM the details to you, and we'll go from there.

Hi Victoria
No need to worry about the money. If you feel like it you can donate it to your favourite charity.
I will be going to the Archives on Thursday, hopefully I'll be able to get everything in one trip. Once I have the info (whether all or some) I'll contact you so I can post it.
Cheers,
Carolyn :)

Carolyn,
Thankyou beyond the norm. I will make a donation on yours and my behalf.
Now, just by a really weird coincidence, I was looking at your family names, and, cut a long story short, we've got a McGrath that's a bit of a puzzle in our lot. Winnifred Emma McGrath b. 1873 d. 1961 in Melbourne. Let me know if it is/isn't one of yours.
Thankyou again,
Victoria
