I have 1851 for Matilda now and her parents were Matilda and Frederick Crathorn and they were living at Court 1 no 4 Aston.

Hope this helps with the 1861 :)

UPDATE

The surname appears as Crahtorn/Crathorne/Crawthorne/Crawthorn and various other spellings.

Debbi, haven't been here for a while and lost the plot a little! Matilda's family were in Deritend in 1861 - RG9/2174 - Folio 42 - Page 18.

Did you ever find Matilda?

Thank you :)  Here we go...

1861 Census - RG9/2174 - Folio 42 - Page 18
Warehouse Buildings
[In or off Watery Lane]
Deritend, Aston, Warwickshire

Frederick CRAYTON - Head - Mar - 49 - Currier
Matilda - Wife - Mar - 49
Alfred - Son - Un - 22 - Spade Plater
Reuben - Son - Un - 15 - Spade Heater
Charles - Son - 12 - Gun Maker
Joseph - Son - 6

All born Birmingham

It does look like CRAYTON - yet another variation!

I didn't have Joseph on file, so that's a new one for me.

Found Matilda in 1861! She's with William H MILLWARD (34) and his wife Eliza (23), in St Thomas Birmingham. I have Matilda's sister Eliza on file, born about 1837.

So nice to see some Crawthorne discussion; I have a Daniel Crawthorne born in Nottingham, poss Radford, in 1845. He was married in Radford to a Dorset lass (1877) when he was a Private in the 77th Reg of Foot..his father was also Daniel Crawthorne but he & his family completely disappear prior to the marriage. I can find no Crawthorne in Notts at all!! Can any one help?
