Found Matilda in 1861! She's with William H MILLWARD (34) and his wife Eliza (23), in St Thomas Birmingham. I have Matilda's sister Eliza on file, born about 1837.

He was married in Radford to a Dorset lass (1877) when he was a Private in the 77th Reg of Foot..his father was also Daniel Crawthorne but he & his family completely disappear prior to the marriage. I can find no Crawthorne in Notts at all!! Can any one help?
