Hi - would appreciate knowing if there are any families called Selby or McCall living in Poplar at those times. I believe the censuses were headcounts only but am hoping there may be a bit more info.

Yes that is all that is on the 1821/31 Poplar indexes.

I see you are interested in Selby families in Poplar. I think the James Selby living in Alfred Street was probably my great great great grandfather. Many thanks - I didn't know about the 1821 and 1831 censuses.
