Hi all
Would anyone know if there was many Presbyterian church's in Annagh kilnahue Gorey Wexford I think this is where my grandmother was born Mary Gowan in  1896. On her marriage certificate in 1925 she had her address as Annagh Kilnahue I did phone births deaths and marriages in Dublin but they can't find her as I don't know her mothers name. Her father's name was John Gowan a labourer.  Any advice please thank you.

In Ireland (outside of Ulster and Dublin) there are (were) really very few Presbyterian congregations. To the best of my knowledge, I think that the main to congregations in Co. Wexford were Wexford town and Enniscorthy. Wexford town's records are: baptisms: 1849 - and marriages: 1846 -; Enniscorthy's: baptisms: 1866 -; marriages 1871 -.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jack and Steven

Thank you both for your help.  Sorry I have not been on this post for a while and have  just seen it  I have now been told that Mary Gowan came from a place called Hollyfort Saint Benedict I have found a Church St John's with a Churchyard and a John Hunter Gowan is buried there with his son this would have been mary's GGGgrandfather. So maybe this is the church mary belong to. I will try writing to them to see if they will check the baptism register for me.
