Hi I have just received my grand fathers immigrant records to come to Australia. He arrived in 1925 to Queensland he was a child immigrant he was trained at Hempstead Hall Essex. ( The Church Army)
He was a orphan, on the documents it states that the Stoke on Trent Board of guardians where his guardians and he went to school at the Christ Church School at Stone.
Does any body know how I go about getting records from these places.. ???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.. ;D
Cheers Tracy

Tracy - I don't know the answer, but the people at Staffs & Stoke Archives might. There is an online catalogue (I find this an awkward one to search) & they do have an enquiry service accessible by e-mail as well as a research service at a cost. The contact details are available through this link

Hope you're able to find something!
