In 1851 they are indexed under KENSEL (HP107/1599/1).
Sarah G (19), George H (13) and Charles S (8 ) are living with their father in Betchworth, together with Henry E Kensit, a fourth child, who appears to be the same age as George (13).

Thanks all for your help. Emma Baker is indeed his second wife. I don't know when and where the first marriage took place.
-
Henry was at war in India in 1861 and 71.

I don't know when and where the first marriage took place.
Is this your Georgina Mordaunt? It seems to suggest that she might have married a Henry Green though.

The age of Mary Ann in1841 suggests they married in about 1830, just before moving to Betchworth. According to this George was in Road/Rode (Somerset):

It does seem that she married Henry Green, but she couldn't have married both of them. Her parents were George and Mary.
Most of this info I got from IGA, which is why I had various name versions of the children.
I also have some other info (don't know where it came from.
In 1851 she is living with her parents and siblings at The Court, Coulsdon, Surrey.
In 1861 she is living at Rochester House, Little Ealing, with her parents Harry and Alexandrina and her siblings Mary, Arthur, Edward and Walter.
1871?
In the 1881 census she is the widowed head of the household at Waterden Road, Stoke, Surrey. Her daughter Katherine is present but her son Henry is absent.
In the 1891 census she is a visitor in the household of her brother Arthur Frederick Borradaile (Borradaile 79).
Harry is not mentioned on that site either.

Would you mind looking up where Charles was living in 1871 please?
-
In 1871 (RG10/276) Charles is a visitor at a house in Islington, the head being a Miss J Benwall. Also present are her married sister Mrs C Ferris (+ some of her children born in India); an unmarried sister, Miss L Benwall; and Thomas Hill, an unmarried nephew.
Your last post seems to refer to Alexandrina Borradaile, whereas previous ones have been about the Kensits/Mordaunts. I'm not sure what it is you know for certain, and what you want to know.

Great, thanks again.

Sorry,
Yes it did sound confusing. Yes the info was on Gorgiana Mordaunt. I think the info regarding Georgina Mary Mordaunt may have been wrong. Maybe the info I had was for the another Georgina who married Henry Green.

Hi Jams
Betchworth registers in Reigate registration district. These may be the birth registrations of the younger children - though they were not given names on their birth registrations (didn't have to be).
Births Jun 1838
KENSIT Male Reigate 4 399
Births Jun 1843
Kensit Male Reigate 4 364
No corresponding early death registration for these Kensits.
The birth certificates will give the mother's maiden name.
Is this post now completed?
