I am looking for one ElizabethLe Gresley mother to Charles Pitman born 15/3/1878
St helier Jersey he was a backsmith I  am also looking for infomation on Elizabeth
Dwyer his spouse.

Hi Elvis

Sorry I haven't noticed your posting until now.

Looking at the census for a possible Parish for ELeG I found that this was one of the most popular names of the time!!

So to narrow it down I looked for CP's birth and found it in St Helier, 23rd March 1877 to 2nd April 1878, volume 31, page 79. Do you have a copy and if so what was his fathers name? I can then track down ELeG's marriage which should give me her fathers name.

Having said that I can see a marriage for an ELeG, September 1859 to April 1863 on page 100 at St Helier Registry Office to a George Pittman (note 2 T's).
