Hi to who ever can help.
Searching my family tree, I can't seem to find a marriage either in Scotlandspeople or LDS for my G.G.G.Grandfather John Hamilton and G.G.G.Grandmother Janet Hamilton(M.S. Smellie). I have found the birth of their son James Hamilton my G.G.Grandfather with them named in the O.P.R. dated 03/06/1792. I found that John was born abt. 1742, and Janet was Christened abt. 1750 but can't seem to find an O.P.R. entry for them. Can anyone help please. ???

Looks like this could be it? Janet/Jean/Jane/Jessie are often interchangeable. They must have an entry in both their respective parish registers.

I definitely can't see anything else, sorry. The OPRs are not complete so you might be searching in vain unfortunately :(

Thanks again Lora,
Yes I probably won't find it, I had a good lot of stabs at it but no luck. I do know who their parents were so will have a stab going further back, and I know who the parents were of Johns Parents, who would be my G.G.G.G.G.Grandparents bu8t I need to confirm this on the O.P.R.s if I can find them, it's always nice to see it written down somewhere isn't it.
Thanks again
Frank.
