Hi
I have been given the address of one of my relatives on the 1901 census. The address was/is 2 Curtains Cottages, Beddington. Does anyone know if that address is still in existence or where it used to be please? THe cottages may have been on a farm in the area as the head was an agricultural labourer.
Thanks
Pat

Is that it - no road or avenue or street or anything?
If you post the details from 1901 I'll look on the previous census images and see if I can see where it is.
I live near Beddington so can always have a look if I know where I am going ;)

Hi, I have found the original post and I would say that the address is
Cutram's Cottages, Upper Road, Bandon Hill, Beddington which is now in the Street Atlas under Wallington.
Pity there are no numbers given but when I get the chance I'll go over there and have a look. If I find it I'll ask the owner's if I can take a photo. It's worked before but don't hold your breath - it may have changed names.

Just checked back on TriciaAnn's postings but thanks for posting.
I don't see it as Curtains - have another look :)

Hi Tricia :)
Yep - I'll go with Cutram's :-[
I think I mistook the apostrophe for the dot of an i :'(
Think I'll have a word with Suzard and get the name of her optician - unless you can recommend a good one ???
Sorry about all that - hope you can find it and get a pic :D

If I do get a photo and permission I'll post it on here. I'll get the road, anyway. It's not that long and it's behind a Park.
If you never hear of me again I'll be doing time for loitering with intent ;D

Would you send your Email address to me via Rootschat messaging and I will send what I have taken.
Unfortunately can't identify the exact house as they no longer use the house names that were on the census :(
Having looked around a little bit more I think the original name was Outram's Cottages
