Looking for Alexander, James, John, Robert and Jane, born in mid 1800 in Moira, Down, Ireland

Hello Neah,
What denomination were the Harvey family?
You'll have to rely on Church records as civil registration in Ireland was not introduced until 1864. Non Catholic marriages were registered from 1845 onwards. When registration for BDMS started in 1864 some people didn't bother with the registration for a few years after that date. Keep your fingers crossed that church records still exist.

Hi,
I have watched your posts with interest for several years now on a few sites. My maiden name was Harvey.
My line came from Portadown though. I do not think we are connected but I do have a Harvey connection who lived in Soldierstown in Aghalee which is only a few mile from Moira. His name was James and he was married to Eleanor. They are both listed in the Ulster Covenant.

Hello aljepeka,
Whose posts have you been watching? I don't have any Harvey connections but have observed that if I respond to a query that has not received an answer for some time then other RootsChatters start to posting details about families in their tree who may be related to that of the origianal poster.
