Hi everyone,

Just fell over this pdf list of all death notices reported in the Christchurch Press from January 2000 to December 2007.

Names listed in alpha order per day published so it is best to use the find function (the binoculars) to find anyone's name.  Only gives name and date published so any details would need to be requested for a look up to be done by someone.  Does note nicknames if people were known better by them which may help some searchers.  Might help with matches to Chch City Council Cemeteries Database.

Might be best to download file and save it to your computer for searching at leisure.

Thanks for that Newbe :D.  i'm up to my armpits in nappies and feeding at the moment - and someone is looking particularly happy that he's just filled his nap!  Why is there no emoticon for ugh?

Anyway, back to the death list (what a name!), will have to see how to easily create an update list of the extras when they come online each Friday without having to redownload new files and then delete old ones...although this may be the easiest way to do it.

Your welcome.  I just happen to see it there and her email addy there as well so wrote it down and then got mods to remove it.

I was wondering the same thing. Do we have to download the 2008 list every Saturday after it is done on Fridays. I am not sure.

Will have to see about that.
