Title: MARIA(H) PARRY of Crosswood
Post by: parry71 on Sunday 19 October 08 18:36 BST (UK)
I am seeking MARIA(H) PARRY who when she married in 1856 gave CROSSWOOD as her place of residence.   I have failed to find her on the 1851 census so far.  In 1841 she was employed as a servant with the Rector of Llangwyfan in Denbigh...  after her marriage in 1856 she lived at LLANAFAN.

Has anyone seen her?

Regards to all who reads this

Hello parry71,

Something that might aid you is that Crosswood[Trawsgoed in Welsh] is a Residence whereas Llanafan is a village.they could both be in different Parishes also.
Crosswood was a large country estate, the seat of Lord Lisburn I believe so it's quite possible that Maria Parry was a servant there.
Good luck,brawd houdini

Hi
Who did she marry?
the men in Llanafan where lead miners was her husband a miner? Often they moved to the south wales  to work in the coal mines.
Happy to look at 1861 census but do you have more info- their ages may be of help.
cheers cardiff :)
