Good morning, I have had a look at many of the wonderful photos here and wonder if it would be possible to give some colour to my great grandparents please.
Thank you. Meg :)

Hi Meg ;)
Welcome to RootsChat! It is a great place to be! As long as you realise it is addictive ;D ;D

Yer right there, Judy, and here's one who will have a go.
Welcome Meg, that's a lovely picture.

Hello Judy and PaulaToo, thank you for the welcome.
Yes, lots of very clever people here.
A nice picture. I wonder if it was the christening of the baby. All dressed up for the occasion.

How old were they at the time, Meg?

Thank you to Terry, Irene, Jim and Caz who have restored my photo. All are just wonderful. ;D ;D
IgorStrav - yes they do look young. I am of the opinion that the baby is their first, so that makes the picture 1910. Ages would have been 23 and 21 at that time.
The colour versions are just excellent. A very talented group of people.
Judy is quite right, this is going to be addictive.
I am very grateful , thank you again, regards Meg :)

Hello Meg and all,
I'm new here too but love the old photographs. I also love learning to restore old photos and this is the perfect place. Anyways, here is my attempt to colorize your grandparents. Hope you like it.

Thank you very much mlmaxey.
The old photographs are lovely to look at. I certainly enjoy looking at all of them here on this site.
Your colouring is excellent and I cannot believe that you say you are a learner. I hope you continue to enjoy restoring the pictures, as people like me certainly enjoy seeing what can be done with them and look forward to seeing the end result.
Thank you again
Meg :) :)

Well, thanks Meg! Comments like that will surely help keep me going. I just wish I had more time to dedicate to restoration. Everyday and every time I adjust a photo I learn something new, maybe soon I will get good enough so it doesn't take 4-5 hours per picture :P. Oh well, as long as it stays fun and interesting I'll keep doing it.

Thanks Paula, I just hope that I can do justice restoring pictures for those who want it.

Many thanks to Jim, Moroc and Xinia for your pictures. Just wonderful!
Xinia, how clever is that! My picture looks as if it has been cut down at some point in the past. You have recreated the missing part brilliantly. I do appreciate yours, and everyone's time taken on my first photo.
I have loved seeing all the different colours used ;D ;D
Thank you again to everyone. regards Meg
Mlmaxey, I also agree with PaulaToo - you're good, keep up your lovely work
