Hi all,
I'm back on the hunt for my great (x4) granddad - William Tullett.
As far as I can tell he was born around 1775 in Slaugham, in Sussex. I am pretty sure his wife was Phoebe Hills (not 100%).
Children
Mary c1809
William c1809
James c1810 (dates vary from census to census) - my gt (x3) graddad
John c1812
Eliza c1815
Jesse c1818
Henry c1820
I am tryng to find more out about William ie confirmation of wife - parents.
There are several Tulletts in Slaugham at this time, but none really seem to fit with William.
Any ideas, suggestions, help much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mark

HI Kerry,
Thanks - that was quick. However still wondering was this my William?
Any idea where parish records are for Slaugham to get hold of a copy of the register to check for witnesses?
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark
Parish registers for Slaugham will be at Chichester, West Sussex.

Thanks again Kerry,
Have just checked their site and they supply fiche copies (and Slaugham marriages for that time are on there, and loads more too) - looks like I might need to get hold of a fiche reader though :-X

Hi Mark
The other option (and I hope I'm not being too cheeky here ::) ) is to put a request on to Janan's thread as she is visiting Chichester in November. Its on the Sussex board.

I have a fiche reader and am quite interested in getting the Slaugham records but cannot find them on their site. How do you get into the fiche bit??

Hi Kerry,
GUess I'll be the cheeky one and try Jana anyway ;)
Hi Andrea:
From main page: ( http://www.westsussex.gov.uk/ccm/navigation/libraries-and-archives/record-office ) click family history link. On family history page click Parish registers link, then on this page there is the option to download the Parish Registers list in PDF format. This downloads quite quickly and list al lthe records they have alphabetically. There are 48 pages. Slaugham is on page 37 / 38.
;)
