Title: Lucy Potter - Norwich - from 1838 to 1870

Can anyone help with details of my gggrandmother Lucy Potter.  She married John Thomas Burgess in Norwich in 1867 then seems to have moved to Birmingham.  I have information she was born in Norwich about 1838.  By 1881 she was a widow and a lodging house keeper, back in Chapel Fields, Norwich

The Family Search has a Lucy Potter born Norwich, Norfolk 1838 father Thomas Potter mother Sophia. I found her on the 1871 census in Edgbaston, Warwickshire at 12 Noel Road with Hushand John T. Burgess age 39, Commercial traveler born Tramsden, Suffolk, daughter Alice T. age 1 born Egdbaston, Warwickshire and son Alfred under 6 months born Edgbaston, Warwickshire. I'll have a look for her parent on the 1871 census.

Thomas and Sophia were not Norfolk born the rest were

still no sign yet on 1861  I have tried the parishes that they have been associated with on other census but nothing, of course its possible to miss them I am only human after all but I feel sure I haven't - Norwich is such a big place it is too big to just search aimlessly - I would recommend getting Lucys marriage cert - as she got married in Norwich and close to 1861 in time period where she was living at the time would be a good place to start a search

however on 1871
