Hi all,
I have upgraded my subscription on Ancestry but I still can't access anything! Every time I try to view a record, I'm told I need to buy a subscription. When I view my account, my subscription is there. Any ideas????
-
Have you tried logging out and back in again?
-
Yep. Didn't work.
-
Maybe it takes time for the upgrade to work ?
-
Wonder what type of record you are viewing? Maybe you have to pay more to look at it? I remember a friend saying something like that happened to them. They looked at one, and they were asked for a subscription and it cost more to view it hence they already had a subscription.
Cheers

I know they've recently 'downgraded' the bottom subscription to include less (no parish records, etc.), which I used to have access to. I now need to 'upgrade' my subscription to access some of the parts that I had access to when I first took it out. :-\

What have you upgraded from and to?
As Kiwi says, what sort of record are you trying to view?
I bet it's one where they want you to pay EVEN more to view ::)

Ah, I think you're right! It doesn't seem to want me to search beyond a certain date! I tell you what I'm looking for - perhaps some of you might have access to it? Bertie Easton, son of John Easton, born in Battersea London. He's on the list, I just can't see the record!! You see, the mystery is, although he was on the census as a small child, he seems to have disappeared, and my grandfather William never mentioned him...ever!

Date? ;D

Is this the family in the 1901 Census RG13; Piece: 445; Folio: 122; Page: 34
John Easton 44
John Easton 14
William Easton 11
James Easton 9
Bertie Easton 7
What other record are you looking for?
