Any chance someone could have a look for Robert Giles, blacksmiths striker, born about 1842, (making him roughly 29), married to Sarah Giles (aged about 28, possibly born York but not too certain) would have had a daughter Emily aged 3. Should have been living in Hull at the time.
Any information gratefully received.
Thanks for taking time to read this.

Hi there Groucho,
Do you by any chance have any Jeremiah's in your Giles family?
Best wishes,

I would say that they are the Giles' I looking for. On Emily's marriage certificate there is a William Giles as a witness so it's looking good as a line of enquiry.
As for Jeremiah I don't know as yet. I've only just started down this part of the wife's tree. But who knows? If I find something I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for those replies. Very much appreciated.

Hi Groucho,
I replied to you because Winship Buildings rings a bell. I'll take a look through my Giles stuff and see what I can find.
Best wishes,

Hello there - have only just joined but I have info re the family. Robert married sarah Coleman at the Holy Trinity Church in Hull in 1861.
Emma was daughter and sister of William who you mentioned signed marriage certificate. William was my great great grandfather. My maiden name was Giles and this branch of the family live in Hull still.
